Science and technology plays a critical role in today's world. Under the Ninth Malaysian Plan, our government has raised the issue of developing human capitals who are not only capable of competing  in the global arena but are also able to observe the delicate and fine cultures and traditions of Malaysia.

Under the Malaysia school mathematics curriculum for secondary school, the Education Department offers mainly two types of Mathematics, namely General Mathematics (compulsory for all students) and Additional Mathematics which is an elective (naturally taken by all science and some arts students who are in their 10 and 11 grades).

Additional Mathematics commenced instruction in English in the year 2006. In conjunction with English as the medium of instruction, the use of technology, especially ICT, in the teaching and learning of mathematics is heavily emphasized.

Mathematics aided by ICT technology will enhance the students' understanding on the subject. Here,  a type of Learning
by doing Project work was introduced in 2003 to encourage students to do research on topics related to their everyday lives. In so doing, word processors, Excels spreadsheets, Presentation Software like PowerPoint and other related software are employed.

This website was created with the main intention to assist my students in learning and loving the subject. It is also open for all students who wish to know a little more about this beautiful subject called Additional Mathematics.
