This video clip was taken on 26th March 2008. I found
that students learn better if they were to be given opportunities to teach
their peers. After teaching the class (5 Amanah) for awhile, I felt that
students who are able to solve the reinforcement questions given to them be
encourage to explain to their peers how they arrived at the solution. Faris
Hadi Bin Che Kassim in this video clip was trying to explain to the class
that when a straight line that touches the y and the x-axis is rotated about
the y-axis a cone is generated.
I was teaching them the topic of finding the volumes of revolutions using
definite integrals.

The Mathematics Electives department decided to help
the below average students by organizing a few intervention programmes that
aims to encourage the average and the weak students to do better in their
coming year 11 public examination (SPM). The programmes were welcome by the
students and as the result, the Additional Mathematics percentage pass has
gone up by a significant 4.8%.
Hear the comment of Hezry Bin Haizad from 5 Elit concerning this programme. Hezry
obtained a strong A2 in his Additional Mathematics last year.
